Buckland Family Loses Home In Fire

(Buckland, MA) A second alarm fire broke out Saturday night at 126 Charlemont Road in Buckland. The first crews on scene reported a fully involved structure fire, with flames visible from Route 2. After firefighters contained the fire, it rekindled and an excavator was brought in to access the hot spots. The family has been displaced from their home and they are receiving assistance from the Red Cross. Fire Departments from Ashfield, Colrain, Shelburne, Shelburne Falls, Greenfield, Charlemont, Hawley, Conway, Erving, and South Deerfield all provided assistance.
