GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield City Council voted last night to appropriate $25,000 for the next steps towards repairing Poet’s Seat Tower, which has been closed since a safety inspection. The funds will support an engineering assessment and getting the Tower on the National Historic Registry, which may open up more grant funding as repairs are estimated to be at least $400,000.
