Crews battling flames, winds in Shelburne Falls fire

SHELBURNE FALLS, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — UPDATE: The homeowner was uninjured after a fire took his home in Shelburne Wednesday afternoon. Several local fire departments responded to the residence at 90 Mohawk Trail shortly after 4:20 p.m. and traffic on Route 2 was temporarily reduced to one lane.

Fire crews are on the scene of a fire at a home on the Mohawk Trail in Shelburne Falls.

The fire was reported at a structure set back from the road near Mechanic Street. Responding crews are dealing with gusty winds as they attempt to bring the fire under control.
