MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Montague Police Department has received reports the public of counterfeit currency circulating the area. The “movie prop” money looks hyper realistic at a glance and may be passed during quick or busy transactions.
The Department officials recommend reading the bill carefully for unusual text or markings, and when in doubt do not accept the bill and contact the Montague Police Department.
