Power lines catch fire in Leyden

LEYDEN, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Early Tuesday morning, at approximately 2:44 a.m., Bernardston Fire responded to the 200 block of Brattleboro Road in Leyden for a tree down on wires causing a fire. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found the tree blocking the road on the downed wires with the primary line on fire. Eversource assisted with cutting and removing the tree, and stayed on scene to restore power.
